How to play Brick Breaker

  1. Move the paddle with the left and right arrows, A and D, or the yellow buttons.
  2. Press Space, Up or the blue button to launch the ball from the paddle.
  3. Every brick you hit scores points. Clear all of them to move to the next layout, which is faster.
  4. Miss the ball and you lose one of three lives. Lose them all and the game is over.

About this game

Brick Breaker, also known as Breakout or Arkanoid on other machines, is one of the four games that shipped on almost every brick handheld. This is the grid version: the ball moves one cell at a time on diagonals, so you can read its path and be waiting for it. Where the ball hits your paddle changes its angle. Six brick layouts loop with the speed rising each time you clear one.
