How to play Invaders
Move your ship with the left and right arrows, A and D, or the yellow buttons.
Press or hold Space, Up or the blue button to fire. Hold it down to keep shooting, with up to three shots in the air at once.
The formation steps sideways and drops a row each time it hits the edge. The fewer aliens left, the faster it moves.
Their bombs cost you a life if they land on your ship. Your shot can knock a bomb out of the air. Clear the wave to bring on the next one, which starts lower.
Before you press start, Up picks the starting level and Down the speed, from 1 to 10. Higher speeds score more points. Left and Right switch to the previous or next game.
About this game
Invaders is the arcade classic at brick handheld scale: a five by three formation, one ship, and the famous speed-up as the formation thins. Hold fire and sweep. Shoot the columns on the edges first so the formation takes longer to reach the sides, and never let the last alien get low, because at that point it is moving faster than you can react.
